I did my best but I don’t know what it is.
The two graph tell us about the education levels by varieties of age and gender in Glasgow, in Scotland, in 2010. The pie chart shows the separation of the gender. The list of figures presents the age difference.
We can see that the pie chart is very balanced in case of sex though the figure one is contrary to.
About one third of people finished University and belongs to ca. 73% of working-aged part and to the half of the 50 to 75 years old ones, and to the one fourth of more than 75. The second half third of people has got scholar certificate and they belong to the 20% of all ages, except to the 3% of the more than 75. The third 30% has no qualification and is 16 to 75 years old.
We can say that the younger people recognise the importance of the learning and the women can be able to keep pace with the men in the world of education.
All are 167 words.
Hi Liz.I am Md.Shafin Khan from Bangladesh. I want to gain in IELTS exam 7 band score. It is my only dream Madam.
Good luck!
Hi Liz, I’ve heard that there has been a change in IELTS recent test. Is that true? If yes, could you tell me what has changed?
I have not heard that. What changes are you referring to??
For example, there could be changes in the questions from the normal completion task in IELTS listening task 1 to multiple choice questions. That’s what I am wondering because I don’t know whether this is true or not.
As far as I know, the range of question types are the same as always. You could get any type of question.
hiii lizzzz..
can you please clarify me one doubt about how many words exactly we can write in our writing task 1.
“Basically it’s 150 words but in many examples , I have people writing more than 150.
Around 180.

Hi Madam,
In my opnion, the model answer for this task should not be marked as band 8 due to there are some missing proper paraphrasing and task achievement, such as, University graduate, school passed, level of education and reversed those with no qualification. In addition, pie chats are explained with clear data. Kindly guide me. Thaks
This is still a band 8. The Task Achievement is exceedingly strong. The overview is clear. The key features are highlighted. The linking words are used well. Paragraphs are excellent. Vocabulary contains no mistakes at all but could have a slightly better range. Collocations are all perfect. The skill of paraphrasing is also shown and vocabulary is flexible. This is all band score 8.
Liz, can you please tell me what should be the overview of this complex chart with additional pie charts? I’m having the test in 2 days and I haven’t practiced for a complex chart, so I’m not sure what are the key features.
I will hopefully post a model answer tomorrow.
please could you kindly post a model answer today 08/12/2016
You can find it on this page: https://ieltsliz.com/dec-2016-ielts-writing-task-1-sample-answer/
Hi Liz
Please if a task 2 question is this: “Some people think that newspapers are no longer needed.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?”
Is it ok to write a introduction response as ” Certain people are of the opinion that newspapers will no longer be necessary. I partly agree with this opinion because while other electronic news media are becoming increasingly popular, newspapers will still be useful”….
Thanks
Sure. You have a background statement and you have presented your opinion clearly.
Kindly, show the model answer of reported IELTS task 1 December 2016.
