Articles are not needed for short answer questions. You need to consider articles (this means you need to think about them), when you are tackling questions that require you to compete a sentence. So, the problem here is your understanding of the different question types in IELTS listening.
Thanks a ton for your prompt reply mam.. this pattern was on IELTS reading…I hope the same is applicable on reading as well.
Thank you again.
It’s the same.

Hi Liz. I appreciate all ur effort to helping us. I have read in ur frequently asked questions, where u advised us to write in upper cases throughout during reading test to avoid issues with nouns, my question is when it comes to match paragraphs, where the answers are written in Roman figures ( i, ii, iii). Are we expected to also put them in capital letters ?
Roman numerals are not letters. They are numbers. It really doesn’t matter how you write them. I personally like to follow the instructions and copy them exactly as their are written on the question paper.
Thanks for ur swift response, appreciate. 🤓🤓🤓🤓

The IELTS Cambridge test books are all real tests. They are essential to use for preparation. But they don’t teach you anything. They are for practice at home – there are a total of 14 books – lots of materials for you. If you want a book to teach you, you need to get a book which includes tips. I don’t have one to recommend. I created this site with free tips instead.
