  1. Hi Liz, thank you for your lessons and advice. I am looking for a website to practice spelling out, but i only find general spelling websites. I only want to practice spelling out, letter by letter, like in IELTS listening test about names. Do you know if there is any website to practice that? (I already checked your useful websites section, and no site in there is what I am looking for)
    Thank you in advance!

  2. How can I download your audios for my classes?

    • At present I don’t have that option, you will need to play them online. Next year I will try to organise extra resources for IELTS teachers which can be downloaded.

    Well my scores for IELTS are L=6.0 R=5.5 Wr=5.5 SP=7.0 = Band score 6.0
Please help me to know if that band score is acceptable in bachelor level in universities or if i want to apply for job because some of institution require that result, i want to study or work in Australia.
Please advice from what you will be a relief at least..

    • Band score 6 overall is the usual requirements for degrees. However, you must contact the university you want to go to and check their specific requirements for the course you want. There can be variations in requirements.
      All the best

  14. I have given my IELTS-Academic with 3 to 4 days exams . I watched some videos from you tube and my score was not impressive . I got L=6 , R = 5 , Wr= 6 and speaking 6.5. I want to reappear but unable to develop my interest. Can I get 6.5 overall with 5.5 minimum or 7 overall by preparing it for three weeks. Please advice.

    • You need to get your English language checked. It is possible that your level of English is below band score 7 which would make it very difficult to get 7. If that is the case, it will take time to develop your English to reach band 7. I suggest you approach an experienced IELTS teacher for assessment of your English language.
      All the best

  15. Hi liz
I have my Ielts exam on this Saturday, I have been practicing, could you please clear my confusion. such as can we write all the listening answers in upper case another if in first sentence it’s written Blue Ray apartment and in second, which is accepted Sun Shade apartment or Sunshade apartment?

  16. Madam Liz,
How would it look like if you organize the sounds of B, P and V in a same line ? Because V always gives me problem.

  17. Dear Liz
omg, ur lessons are very very wonderful! My name’s Trinh and i’m 20 years old. I just getting to practice IELTS and i don’t know how i learn it and where should i start.
i want to come Australia to live there, i’m falling in crazy love with that country. But i have to get 7.5 score in IELTS test. And i don’t know how i get it.
    Please help me!
Thanks a lot for ur help!

    • I highly recommend that you get a practice IELTS test at an IELTS school. That will give you an idea of your current level. Otherwise, do some listening and reading tests from the IELTS Cambridge books under exam conditions. If you achieve around band score 7 in the practice tests, you know you are ready to focus on exam skills. Spend time learning about the band scores, about different types of questions, about how the examiner assesses your writing and speaking and then start practicing to see where your problems lie. Organise your studies and be focused.
      All the best

  19. Hi Liz,
Thank you for this post. The first step to be confident during Listening test. I’ve been many times listened incorrectly while practising.

    Raj 🙂

  20. Dear Liz,
I really appreciate what you have done for all of us who are preparing for ielts.
I have found your work very helpful!
As the D day is approaching, I get very nervous, not being able to sleep well.
I have never met you in person but I feel confident watching your video lessons.
I hope that I will exert my best on the test next Saturday so that your hardworking will not be in vain!

    • Good luck next Saturday. You can improve a lot in one week but make sure you find time to relax. Listening, reading and writing take 2 hours and 40 mins in total – it’s a long test and very tiring. You will need lots of energy to be able to concentrate for so long under pressure. Take it easy!
      All the best
