IELTS Vocabulary Page

Hi guys,

Below is a link to my main vocabulary page for IELTS.

Some of you are not accessing my main pages to get all the free lessons available. On my main vocab page, you will find links to vocabulary for topics and also a free video lesson on paraphrasing tips. See below:

Liz Madam, Your vocabulary page is a treasure trove. I am trying to go through it one by one. I have read that we have to use idiomatic language. Problem I face is that idioms do not come naturally while speaking on a topic. Could you please advice.

  2. Thank you very much. Your wonderful lecturer. Also, your lesson are easy and simple to follow

  3. Hi Liz,
Any of the links that included under Ielts vocab page doesn’t open .
I don’t know if it’s my problem or it’s the same with others.

  4. In task 1 of speaking test, who is your favourite pop star is asked often. Is it ok to say that I don’t have any as I am not into listening music. Or should I prepare an answer for this in advance instead of being honest??

  5. if you please …could you give us a lesson about how to describe a piece of clothes …I struggle to talk about this topic for 2 minutes
    thanks indeed

    • The reason you struggle is because you think you need to talk about the clothing and only the clothing. This is not true. You can talk about anything related to it. For example, the first time you wore it (tell a story with description), talk about when you plan to wear it next (tell a story and describe). Also talk about clothing in your country – celebrations, weddings etc etc. You can talk forever. You can talk about anything you want and take your talk in any direction you want. Does that help?

      • yes yes yes … are tremendously fantastic….
I owe many things I have learned to you and your blog.
        thanks indeed

  6. Dear Madam ,

I am an IELTS teacher and I have found your website very useful in preparing materials for lessons.
I would like to know whether it is possible to have a static line graph . It would be a huge help if you could give me an answer as early as possible.
    Thank you
